 What's New for the 2018 Honda Odyssey?

The Honda Odyssey comes rolling into 2018 with a brand new design and a host of upgrades designed to make any customer swoon. The list of updates is so extensive that it is hard to know where to start. Let's begin with the revised 3.5L V-6 engine offering 280 horsepower partnered with either a nine-speed or ten-speed automatic transmission. The ten-speed is a first for the Odyssey, demonstrating its commitment always to be improving its offerings. Honda continues to showcase its versatility to growing families with a myriad of new interior features including an onboard vacuum, an in-cabin PA communication system, and video child monitors. And as always, this spacious minivan leads its class in both personal passenger space and cargo room.

The infotainment system receives a massive upgrade with a variety of new standard and optional features all designed with user compatibility and ease in mind. Except for the base trim, all Odyssey models now sport an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system offering both Bluetooth connectivity as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. Other optional features include navigation, real-time weather and traffic alerts, and mobile Wi-Fi. On the safety front, Honda continues its dominance of the market as the Odyssey boasts the highest ratings in both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) test results as well as top marks in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) testing. All but the base trim includes a host of active safety features including adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, forward-collision warning, and much more.
