What's New for the 2026 Honda Passport?
While the Honda Passport has long been a popular, comfortable SUV, it ventures into new territory in the 2026 model year. The launch of the Passport's fourth generation ushers in a brawny, bold style, exciting engineering updates, and the debut of several cabin features. This midsize, two-row SUV continues to be available in three trim levels.
The 2026 Passport's exterior includes more ground clearance, a wider track, and a longer wheelbase. The style is decidedly boxy for a confident look, and it adds thicker roof rails, new C-pillars, and flared fenders. The front end is also refreshed with larger, rectangular headlights. The headlights are capped on three sides by an amber LED ribbon and seamlessly link to the thin, rectangular grille. Dark molding lines the Passport's entire lower perimeter, and the front end features a beefy lower fascia with a skid plate and tow hooks on select trim levels. New features for the exterior are a heated windshield and power-folding side mirrors.
Under the hood, the 3.5-liter V6 engine carries over from the previous model year. However, it has been tweaked to provide 285 horsepower in 2026. The nine-speed auto transmission offered in 2025 is upgraded to a 10-speed auto transmission. In addition, the 2026 Honda Passport has larger brake rotors and calipers. There is also an i-VTM4 torque-vectoring all-wheel drivetrain. The higher trim levels continue to come with an off-road-tuned suspension system.
Inside the Passport, you can now enjoy heated seats for all trim levels and a larger infotainment system screen. Entry-level features from the 2025 version include a seven-speaker audio system, smartphone app integration, leather upholstery, heated front seats, wireless phone charging, a blind-spot warning, lane keeping, forward collision mitigation, parking sensors and adaptive cruise control. Higher trim levels may add a navigation system, side window sunshades, a hands-free liftgate, heated rear seats, an upgraded sound system, a heated steering wheel, and a few additional features.
