2020 Honda CR-V vs 2020 Honda Pilot

Serving Nashville, TN

Today's Honda lineup is loaded with exciting possibilities, and local drivers who are eager to drive home in a new SUV are often drawn to top models like the CR-V and the Pilot. The CR-V boasts a 25-year history of impressing local drivers, and the 2020 model year reflects the results of a substantial redesign. The Pilot is a three-row SUV that sits above the CR-V in the 2020 model lineup. While all of the 2019 Pilot trims carry up to the 2020 model year unchanged, the Pilot is now available with new top-level trim. Are you excited about narrowing down the stunning possibilities and picking out your next Honda?

Performance

The CR-V slots below the Pilot in the Honda SUV lineup, and one of the main differences between the two SUVs is in performance capabilities. The four CR-V trims available for 2020 are outfitted with a 1.5-liter turbo engine that delivers 190 horsepower. In comparison, the V6 engine loaded in all of the 2020 Pilot's trims produces 280 horsepower. Both models are equipped with responsive mechanical gear like active noise cancellation, power steering, Eco Assistâ„¢, an electronic parking brake, a direct ignition system, anti-locking brakes, and additional equipment.

Appearance

Both of these Honda models show off the identifiable Honda grille with a horizontal bar integrated with angled headlights. However, the specific shape of the grille and the headlights vary. The CR-V has a molded front bumper that protrudes slightly, and it also displays a sharp angle through the front windshield. The impact of these factors on the profile is substantial, and these are among the most noticeable exterior differences between the CR-V and Pilot. The Pilot's dimensions are more extensive, and its side windows taper into a lower point at the rear while the CR-V's side windows rise upward to a point. These models are both outfitted with a power liftgate, a spoiler, a fin-style antenna, remote entry, heated side mirrors, fog lamps, and other equipment that varies per trim. Notably, the Black Edition that is a new trim line for the 2020 Pilot has a blacked-out façade.

Features

Both of these Honda SUVs are available with heated and ventilated front seats, leather material, Honda Sensing® equipment, power windows, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an automatic climate management system with multiple zones, and other features. The Pilot has a few additional features that are not available in the CR-V. These include heated seats in the second row, easy access to the third row, a rear entertainment system, and others.

At Crest Honda, we take pride in supporting each customer's continued model research, and we are eager to take you on the road to compare the CR-V's and the Pilot's capabilities throughout their trim lines.
