2019 Honda Accord vs 2018 Honda Accord
Serving Nashville, TN
For years, the Honda Accord has been one of the best-selling family cars in America. You’ll especially enjoy the latest Accord. It’s fun to drive, great on gas, and extremely stylish. Great dependability also remains a strong point. Let’s see how the 2019 Honda Accord compares to the 2018 Honda Accord.
Performance
Both the 2019 Honda Accord and the 2018 Honda Accord are driven by a standard 1.5-liter, turbocharged inline-four engine. Honda rates it to pump out a solid 192 horsepower. While an automatic CVT comes standard, the exciting Sport trim offers a six-speed manual transmission as an option. Fuel economy tops out at an efficient 38 mpg. If you desire a more serious performance machine, step up to the larger 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. Total output stands at an entertaining 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. For 2019, this powerful engine now comes standard on the range-topping Accord Touring. Adaptive suspension dampers also enhance the Accord Touring's responsive ride.
Appearance
In terms of exterior styling, the 2019 Honda Accord is identical to the 2018 Honda Accord. Very few sedans in the class have such an upscale appearance. A fastback roof helps give the Accord an especially sleek profile. You’ll also notice the Accord’s strong stance. In the Accord, the jeweled LED headlights and LED taillights come standard. The Accord models now emphasize unique 19-inch alloy wheels and chrome exhaust finishers, the Accord Sport looks like a pure sports sedan. Meanwhile, chrome exterior trim accentuates the Accord Touring’s luxurious nature. Some of the bold paint colors include Platinum White Pearl, Still Night Pearl, and Radiant Red Metallic.
Features
No changes were made to the 2019 Honda Accord’s list of features. Even the base Accord LX has a tech-filled interior. Some of the standard equipment includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen, a multi-angle backup camera, and hands-free Bluetooth® 1. Honda also gives you access to several premium upgrades. Apple CarPlay™ 2 and Android Auto™ 3 smartphone connectivity come with the upgraded Display Audio interface. Meanwhile, a mobile hot spot allows your family to access the internet. A head-up display and ventilated front seats are available as well. Most importantly, Honda Sensing® comes standard across the Accord lineup. This safety system bundles forward-collision braking, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control.
