In 2019, the popular Honda Insight stepped into its third generation. At that time, it received exciting updates from end to end. For 2021, the Insight still shows off these recent improvements, and it adds a few others to the mix. The trim line continues to offer three options, and these are the LX, EX, and Touring. For 2021, the EX and Touring trim levels add a cross-traffic monitor and blind-spot alert to the list of standard safety features. In addition, the Touring trim level adds a dual-zone auto climate management system, a navigation system, and leather material as standard features. The other equipment and design elements are unchanged for the new model year.
This includes the hybrid-electric powertrain that combines two batteries with an Atkinson-cycle 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. Performance is also boosted by a continuously variable transmission, several driving modes, active noise cancellation, electronic brake distribution, and more. Interior and exterior equipment loaded into the Insight includes USB and power ports, a wireless charging pad, smart device integration, a wireless internet connection, a sunroof, powered side mirrors, and more.
