 What's New for the 2020 Honda Pilot?
Apart from the introduction of a Black Edition version, the perennially best-selling Honda Pilot does not get any significant changes for the 2020 model year. Produced for three generations now, the Honda Pilot is regarded as one of the better entries in the midsize crossover SUV segment with its three rows of seats, spaciousness, and ride comfortability.
A 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque is powering the 2020 Honda Pilot. It has either a 6-speed automatic transmission or a 9-speed one. Front-wheel drive is standard, with the option of going with an all-wheel drivetrain for enhanced traction performance. As a five-seater, the Pilot delivers up to 153.1 cubic feet of passenger space and 18.5 cubic feet of standard cargo space. (Both second- and third-row seats can be folded down to create up to 109.2 cubic feet of cargo space.) The 2020 Pilot seats up to seven with second-row captain’s seats or eight with a second-row bench-style seat.
The 2020 Honda Pilot lists cruise control, remote keyless entry, push-button engine start, a 7-speaker 215-watt audio system, Bluetooth® wireless connectivity for hands-free phone calling and audio streaming, two USB ports and an auxiliary audio jack, a 5-inch color LCD screen, and Active Noise Cancellation technology among its standard comfort and convenience features. Additional enhancements offered with this Pilot model include heating and ventilated seats, leather seat trim, front-seat power adjustment and lumbar support, remote start, tri-zone automatic climate control, a universal transceiver, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, HondaLink® 1 remote connectivity, a PA system, a mobile hotspot for 4G LTE Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and much more. For safety, the Pilot, at the base level, gets features such as a six-airbag system, multi-angle rearview camera, vehicle stability assist with traction control, and the Honda Sensing® suite of driver-assistance technologies (which includes collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control).
