What's New for the 2026 Honda HR-V?
The Honda HR-V is the ideal option for drivers who want a smaller crossover SUV coupled with the quality that Honda is known for. The HR-V is the smallest SUV in the 2026 lineup, but it offers exceptional cabin and cargo space thanks to its smart design. In 2026, Honda introduces a few updates for you to enjoy. The trim levels, however, are unchanged, and they include the LX, Sport, and EX-L.
The updates to the 2026 Honda HR-V begin on the exterior. The top-of-the-line EX-L is now styled with larger, 18-inch wheels, and all trims have fresh wheel designs. Solar Silver Metallic paint is no longer available. However, Solar Reflection Metallic and Boost Blue Pearl are now offered. The tailgate badges on the Sport are now glossy black. Overall, the HR-V has a sporty look with a tall, tapered roof line and a strongly curved hood. The bold definition lines on the hood roll into a downturned grille with a captivating, wide-spaced mesh pattern. The molded bumper extends outward to connect with sporty air inlets. The slender LED headlights are underscored by an amber LED ribbon.
You can appreciate additional updates inside the 2026 HR-V's cabin. The 9-inch touch display screen that was previously only standard on the top EX-L trim level is standard for all trim levels. This screen is accompanied by a wireless charging pad and wireless smart device integration. Rear privacy glass is added to the LX as well. The HR-V EX-L also adds silver accents to the steering wheel, front footwell lighting, and illuminated climate control knobs. Other features offered with the 2026 HR-V carry up from the 2025 model year. Some of these are an eight-speaker sound system, low-speed auto braking, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, remote start, adaptive cruise control, lane departure mitigation, USB ports, and more.
The 2026 Honda HR-V continues to come with the same engine. The three trim levels are powered by a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine. This powertrain includes a CVT and produces 158 horsepower. For all trims, front-wheel drive is standard. All-wheel drive is offered as an upgrade.
