What's New for the 2026 Honda CR-V?
The 2026 Honda CR-V is a compact crossover SUV that is currently in its sixth generation. While this generation launched only a few years ago, Honda brings exciting updates to the CR-V's performance, style and tech features. The model continues to be available in seven trim levels, and these are the LX, EX, EX-L, Sport Hybrid, TrailSport Hybrid, Sport-L Hybrid, and Sport Touring Hybrid.
If you select one of the CR-V trim levels with all-wheel drive, your new crossover will now have upgraded traction management. This enhanced system elevates low-speed, off-road performance. The gas engine is the LX, EX, and EX-L trim levels is a four-cylinder, turbo 1.5-liter system with a CVT. It produces 190 horsepower and is offered with your choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The other powertrains come with a non-turbo four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine and hybrid components. This engine generates 204 horsepower.
On the exterior, you can now choose from several new wheel designs. All trim levels come with 18-inch wheels. The CR-V's style is otherwise unchanged for the 2026 model year. The look is lean with a long, flat roof that tapers into a liftgate spoiler. From the side view, you can appreciate tapered side windows, dark molding, and a sporty lower ledge. The gently sloping hood rolls toward a rounded nose. The headlights trend sharply to the sides and are topped by a long LED ribbon. Exterior features include heated side mirrors, an optional sport appearance package, a power liftgate, and more.
All of the 2026 CR-V trim levels now have a 9-inch touch display screen in the center stack. In addition, the EX-L is offered with a 10.2-inch digital driver's panel for the first time. A wireless smartphone charging pad and wireless smartphone app integration are now standard as well. A few of the many features that carry forward from the previous model year are ambient cabin lights, low-speed auto braking, a navigation system, a Bose audio system, a heated steering wheel, parking sensors, leather upholstery, heated seats, driver's memory settings, dual rear USB ports and numerous additional features.
