What's New for the 2025 Honda Pilot?
Over the past few decades, the Honda Pilot has remained a sought-after choice among SUV enthusiasts seeking a spacious three-row cabin. This midsize crossover has evolved significantly over its four generations, with the latest iteration debuting in 2023. Thanks to substantial updates, the 2025 model year sees only minor changes.
In 2025, there's a notable overhaul in the trim lineup, marked by the discontinuation of the base LX trim and the introduction of a top-tier trim level. Specifically, the LX trim has been phased out, making the Sport the new entry-level option. Additionally, the Black Edition now takes the helm as the top-tier trim, displacing the Elite from its former position. The 2025 trim lineup comprises the Sport, EX-L, Touring, TrailSport, Elite, and Black Edition variants. Opting for the Black Edition gives you a distinctive experience with dark interior and exterior accents, striking red cabin highlights, and luxurious leather seats.
The 2025 Honda Pilot maintains its impressive engineering prowess, with capabilities remaining unchanged from the 2024 model year. Powered by a robust 285-horsepower V6 engine paired with a 10-speed auto transmission, it offers a dynamic driving experience. Its tight turning radius ensures optimal maneuverability, while the TrailSport trim boasts enhanced axle articulation from its upgraded suspension, providing added versatility. Towing capacity remains steadfast at 5,000 pounds.
Externally, aside from the blacked-out elements on the Black Edition, the 2025 Pilot retains its familiar design. Sporting raked side windows, a tall, flat roofline, and a bold hexagonal grille with wide mesh, the Pilot exudes a commanding presence. The LED-underscored headlights add a touch of sophistication, branching off horizontally from the grille.
Inside, the 2025 Pilot offers seating for eight with a bench seat in the second row, while captain's chairs are available as an option, accommodating seven passengers. Opting for the Sport trim equips your Pilot with dual 7-inch display screens in the center stack, while other trims feature larger 9-inch screens. Further enhancing comfort and convenience are features like 14 cup holders, traffic jam assist, removable storage spaces, wireless device charging, multi-zone climate control, automatic locking, a moonroof, push-button ignition, heated seats, and a comprehensive suite of safety features.
